A beloved Fort Washington Mexican restaurant is preparing to pack up its guacamole and transport its tacos to a new home in 2024. Cantina Feliz will be moving to Ambler next spring, reports The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Cantina Feliz owner Brian Sirhal has bought the building, located at 111 East Butler Avenue, set to become the restaurant’s new home. Sirhal and crew will be taking over the space, which the Lucky Well will be vacating, by the end of 2023.
The Ambler building will be ready to serve customers delicious Mexican cuisine in spring of 2024.
The new location will permit Cantina Feliz to grow both literally and figuratively. The space is markedly larger than the restaurant’s current Bethlehem Pike home, allowing for a bar that is double the size of the Fort Washington location’s, and additional area for private dining.
Additionally, Cantina Feliz’s upcoming home will be on a major thoroughfare, certain to draw in more foot traffic and new customers.
Sirhal believes that Ambler’s development will prove advantageous to the Mexican restaurant’s growth and success. The restaurateur states “I just love what’s happened in Ambler over the last 10 years. Just having foot traffic and being in a downtown setting is going to make a difference, I think.”
Cantina Feliz fans needn’t fear withdrawal from their favorite cuisine as the establishment readies to settle into its new digs. The beloved eatery will continue feeding hungry guests at 424 South Bethlehem Pike up until its move in the spring.
