Atlantic City will soon be getting an infusion of recreation and casual but delicious cuisine. Beloved chain, Dave & Busters, will be bringing arcade games and bar foods to the Tanger Outlets in December, reports local media outlet Press of Atlantic City.
Angel Acosta, who will be managing the new location, spoke to What Now Philadelphia about what Atlantic City residents can expect from the new establishment, opening at 2120 Atlantic Avenue. “We are technically a mini, so we’re only 21,000 square feet,” Acosta explains. “But we also have about 8 new games that other Dave & Busters don’t have. They’re going to be there for the next few months.”
The latest Dave & Busters will be taking over the space vacated by the 40/40 Club. Acosta feels the location will be ideal for the franchise, stating “It’s a good spot because it’s bringing people back into the city. It’s something that families can do during the day and it provides an avenue for people 21 and over to do other than go to the clubs in the evenings.”
Dave & Busters accommodates all ages during the day, but after 9 pm caters to a more mature crowd. Acosta explains that after 9, any visitor under 21 requires an adult accompaniment.
Dave & Busters hopes to become a pivotal and essential part of the Atlantic City community through its philanthropic work. “We are looking forward to supporting the community and fundraising.” Acosta says, adding “We start doing special events about 3 months in. We’ll hold events for Boys and Girls clubs. We are a part of the Make a Wish Foundation, and one of our arcades even has a Make a Wish game, where all the proceeds go to the foundation.”
The Atlantic City Dave & Busters will begin welcoming visitors on December 11. Acosta expresses enthusiasm for the newest location, stating “We’re excited to be the newest Dave & Busters in the company and we’re looking forward to getting to know the community.”
Dave & Busters currently has 156 stores across the United States. The restaurant provides a mix of entertainment and cuisine, featuring arcade games and classic pub fare. Visitors can look forward to enjoying a drink from the full bar or savoring an order of freshly cooked fries or nachos, among many other menu options.
